An image generation API that uses templates, not AI
PostImager is an image generation API that fills fixed templates with your data. You POST a template name, a size, a format and your fields, and get back a PNG, JPG or one-page PDF. Because no AI model draws the image, the words and layout come out the same way every time.
What a request looks like
POST /v1/renders with Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY and an Idempotency-Key header. The JSON body has template, size, format and variables. Add ?wait=60 to get the finished file in the same call, or read the render by id later, or set webhook_url to receive a signed event when it finishes.
What is included
Five templates: article, product, announcement, event and quote cards. Scoped API keys, signed download links that expire, completion webhooks, and text that shrinks to fit. Latin, Hindi and Punjabi use bundled fonts.
What is not included
Prompts or AI-made pictures, a drag-and-drop editor, your own templates or HTML, video, multi-page PDFs, and direct posting to social networks.
Common questions
- What is a template image API?
- An API that fills a fixed design with the fields you send and returns the finished image. The output stays on-brand and predictable, unlike a text-to-image model.
- Does retrying charge twice?
- Not with the same Idempotency-Key and body: you get the original render back. Renders that fail on the service side retry on their own and are not counted. Two requests without a key make two renders.
- Are there rate limits?
- Yes. The beta allows 50 renders a month and 25 a day per account, with 70 a day and 500 a month shared across the service. Limits are returned by the API.
